First workshop with the target group in Hamm (Germany)

The user partner Caritasverband Hamm e.V. in Germany initiates a WELCOME-workshop with refugees

On September 26th, 2020 in Hamm (Germany) has taken place the first workshop with the target group of the WELCOME project, organised by the user partner Caritasverband Hamm eV. A group of refugees, or so called third-country nationals, have been integrated into the work processes of the project. The needs and wishes about arrival, integration and emancipated life in Germany have been explored and discussed during this first workshop. The results give the project consortium a very important perspective for the further development of the content and technology of the project.

The workshop has taken place in cooperation with the social association Al-Bayan, which actively supports the cultural and social activities of all citizens in Hamm and has thereby a focus on migrants, but also represents the general interests of refugees.

Due to the corona pandemic, the originally much earlier planned personal exchange with refugee people had to wait, so far. Now a permanent project group could finally emerge, which will assist Caritas and the project consortium as an important contact in the further course of the project and which will also be the first to test the prototype in Hamm/Germany.
